Italian cuisine has a classic recipe, that doesn’t contain any animal ingredient. It’s the “Aglio e Olio” Pasta (Traditionally Vegan Recipe). Italians have many recipes, but only a few of them are accidentally plant based, like foccacia, arrabiata pasta and marinara pizza. While you can veganize almost any traditional recipe with plant based dairy replacements or fake meat, it bring a little joy when you don’t have to do all of that.

While it may have only a few ingredients, it is however so rich in flavor. The original recipe doesn’t include parmesan and the garlic isn’t cooked in butter. Making it one of the best vegan comfort food. This recipe is also waste free, as you can cook only one portion if you want to. It is also easy to prepare, almost effortless. You just cook the garlic and the chili flakes in olive oil, without burning the garlic. The olive oil with get infused with flavor. Then you add the cooked pasta, salt and pepper to taste and some fresh parsley. All that is left to do, is to enjoy your meal.

Who would have thought that such a simple recipe would be so beloved in so many homes? ๐Ÿ™‚
