For all the apple-cinnamon combo fans, I have a delicious and easy to make recipe: Apple Vegan Waffles. I am sure you will love this.
This is a one bowl recipe and you will need a grater.
The process is so simple. Start by grating the apple. I also use the apple skin, as I try to get the most nutrients from a fruit and to waste as little as possible. But feel free to peel the apple, if you liked it better this way. Then add the rest of the ingredients and the batter is ready. Depending on your waffle maker you’ll need to coat the iron with oil. It’s not necessary to this if it’s non stick. Also the waffle maker can be squared or flower shaped. Cook the waffles until golden, as the time might differ from one appliance to other.
The waffles will have a nice taste of apple and cinnamon. Top them with more maple syrup and other toppings that you’ll like. I personally like them warm, but you can also serve them later, as part of your lunch box.
1 cup flour 1/2 cup vegan milk 1/2 cup vegan butter (melted/ room temperature) 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 apple 1 teaspoon cinnamon pinch of salt Step 1: grate the apple Step 2: start preparing the batter. add into a bowl the dry ingredients first and then the rest. mix everything Step 3: pour the batter in the waffle maker and cook according to its instructions. It usually takes 4-5 minutes for the waffle to become golden Step 4: add some toppings Step 5: enjoy
