What if I tell you that you can enjoy a delicious and also save the ocean in the same time? You would have to believe me, because this Vegan Tuna Sandwich recipe even confused my cat.

Overfishing is destroying the ocean so fast. At this point, the only thing we can do is to stop eating fish to allow the marine ecosystems to recover. And the coolest part is that you can still enjoy “fish” without causing any harm. The chickpeas blend has the similar tuna texture and the nori sheet is the secret key to make the recipe taste like tuna.

Ingredients

1 can cooked chickpeas

1 nori sheet

1 tablespoon vegan mayo

1 teaspoons mustard

juice of 1/2 lemon

1 tablespoon olive oil

 

1 small red onion

1 hand fresh parsley

1 tomato

1 pickled cucumber

salt to taste

 

lettuce

bread

Instructions

Step 1: in a food processor (or in a bowl mashing with a fork) add the chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, nori sheet, vegan mayo and mustard. blend everything together

Step 2: chop the onion, tomato, pickled cucumber and parsley

Step 3: mix the chickpeas with the veggies. add salt to taste

Step 4: add the vegan tuna on bread, add some lettuce and other veggies if you like

Step 5: enjoy
